Ghanaian-American songstress Amaarae has released her new single, “Wasted Eyes” off her second album.
“Wasted Eyes” opens with a quick koto solo and progresses as Amaarae soliloquises about a wounded romance.
Pheelz, Kyu Steed, Amaarae, KZ Didit, Yves Rothman, and S-Type were credited for the production. “Wasted Eyes” was taken from Amaarae’s LP, “Fountain Baby”.
“Fountain Baby” album lends its credence to Amaarae’s continued quest for growth and mastery, but not in a contrived way.
The 14-track solo project pushes the ante of its 2020 predecessor, “The Angel You Don’t Know,” towards newer heights.
